About Karalene

Hello! I am Karalene and I love life, my family & laughing!

The Early Years

I was born in Washington state but spent the majority of my life growing up in Montana. My fathers family lived mostly in Washington so we moved between Washington and Montana a few times. There was even a brief Idaho excursion. Family was important as was the call of wild Montana living. By wild I don’t mean living in a tent, using an outhouse and feasting off of Turkeys and wild berries, although we did spend an entire summer camping out in a camp trailer – that was part of the Idaho adventure. The only vegetable we ate was canned corn and to this day I still have a hard time gagging it down! I guess if I had to put a name to where I am native, I would say I am a Montana girl through and through. There is something about the big open sky, fields of green and mountainous terrain with rivers and the like that gets into your blood and is hard to get out.

My bulk of the Montana years started when I turned 12 years old and lasted through graduation. I then moved onto college where I started out thinking I wanted to study Photography, then moved my major to Literature and Creative Writing and finally settled with a double major on History and Literature, emphasis in Creative Writing. Life happened and I was unable to finish my degree in Montana, but I would like to do that at some point. I feel that education and knowledge are so important. You have to take an active roll in educating yourself – and I am not just talking about going to school. Life is a time for learning from the best books and teachers. I feel that a day isn’t complete unless you have learned something new.

What Craig says about Karalene:

[Ok your Craig turn to say something about me 🙂 ]
Craig: I refuse to be coerced into saying something nice about you. Good thing it just comes naturally! That’s because Karalene is one of the nicest, kindest, most fun people I know. Let me let you in on a little secret – I’m pretty sure if my family had to choose over keeping one of us, it would probably be her. Not that I am so bad, she’s just that great!

My favorite thing to do on a date is: I am not too picky. Just so long as it is quality time with Craig.
The best vacation I ever had was: Florida to see family. We spent alot of time on the beach. We loved it so much that we went back a year later only this time we went to Disney World with the same family. So fun!
The best thing about being married is: Waking up next to your best friend. Bear Hugs. Sharing your life with someone who brings you joy.
