About the Johnson’s
We are Stephen and Laura Johnson.
Stephen was born and raised in California. Here in Artesia as a matter of fact. I have an older brother named Chris, and a younger sister named Kimberly. In 1986, Stephen’s parents moved him, and the rest of the family, to South Dakota. It was trialsome, but after 7 years, I found Laura. The best thing about the midwest. In 1999, we decided to move back to California, and get back to civilization. 
Laura was born in Watsonville, California. Her family moved very shortly after that to Marshall, MN. Laura has 2 sisters, and 4 brothers (Denise, Steve, Gordy, Gary, Keith, and Lisa). Lisa is Laura’s twin sister, although they are not identical. Laura’s father passed away several years ago, and sadly will not be able to share our journey of adoption with us.
Laura and I are embarking on a 13 month (or longer) journey to adopt a little girl in China. Our friends, who have helped us with this journey, can visit here as we share the entire experience through these pages. We hope you will be able to share our anxiety, our hope, our joy and most of all the love we develop for our new baby.
